1. Collection of Personal Information

1.1 The term "Personal Information" as used in this Privacy Policy of the Services means information about a living individual which can identify the specific individual by name, date of birth, or other description contained in such information (including such information as will allow easy reference to other information and will thereby enable the identification of the specific individual).
When customer contacts us, heuristic shall collect the Personal Information of such customer.

1. When you make an inquiry, your e-mail address, full name, inquiry details, and other necessary information shall be collected.
2. For smartphone apps, heuristic gets videos of user’s face using the device's TrueDepth camera system, (if it has), or camera, to track the movement of your neck. This allows for a unique user experience - you can move the character in the app reflecting your movements. In order for this functionality to be possible, the app requires access to your device's camera. This access can be toggled on or off at any time in your device's settings. The camera images and resulting depth data are only used for animation purposes. Its data is never stored locally or remotely. Also, it is never given to third parties.

1.2heuristic collects your Personal Information through the Services based on your voluntary provision of the information
If you provide heuristic with your Personal Information through the Services, heuristic shall use your Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

2. Use of Personal Information

Personal Information collected through the Services shall be used for the following purposes. If heuristic uses your Personal Information for the purpose other than the original ones as mentioned below, heuristic shall notify you of such effect via e-mail, etc. heuristic shall cease using your Personal Information if you do not give consent. Additionally, heuristic shall not add information obtained off-line or from a third party to your Personal Information collected through the Services.

1. heuristic shall use your Personal Information that is collected when you make an inquiry to heuristic for the purpose of answering your questions or announcing new information, etc.
2. When heuristic intends to use your Personal Information for an advertisement plan, a prize competition, or a campaign, etc., heuristic shall clearly indicate such intention and provide advertisers, etc. with your Personal Information only after obtaining your consent.
3. heuristic shall use your Personal Information acquired using the device’s camera only to reflect it on the movement of characters in the app.

2.1heuristic may prepare statistical data (such as attribute information, terminal information, positioning information, and action history of the user of the Services) in a form any individual cannot be specified or identified, and use such data for the purpose of improving existing services or adding new services, or providing heuristicpartners and advertisers, etc. with such statistical data as media data.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Unless disclosure is permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan or other applicable laws and regulations, heuristic shall not provide any third party with your Personal Information that is collected through the Services without your prior consent. In addition, when subcontracting some businesses, heuristic shall execute a confidentiality agreement with a subcontractor, and disclose your Personal Information to the extent necessary for achieving the purpose of subcontracting. heuristic shall prohibit the subcontractor from using your Personal Information for the purpose other than those initially intended, and appropriately supervise the subcontractor, provided, however, this provision shall not apply in the following cases:

1. heuristic is required to cooperate with the state or a local government or a public body or any person who is commissioned by such government or body to perform their duties or obligations pursuant to applicable laws and regulations, and such performance is likely to be hindered if obtaining your consent; or
2. heuristic is allowed to disclose your Personal Information pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan or other applicable laws and regulations.

4. Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.

4.1Upon your request to disclose your own Personal Information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, heuristic shall, without delay, disclose to you such information after confirming that the request is actually made by the data subject (or notify you of non-existence of such Personal Information). Provided, however, heuristic shall not disclose your Personal Information if heuristic undertakes no obligation to do so pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable laws and regulations.
In such disclosure, you would please understand that you are required to pay a disclosure fee (500 yen per request.)

4.2If heuristic receives a request from you to correct, add, or delete any of your Personal Information pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan on the ground that such Personal Information is incorrect or untrue (hereinafter referred to as “the Corrections, etc.”) , heuristic shall conduct, after confirming that the request was actually made by the data subject, appropriate investigation without delay to the extent necessary for achieving the purpose of use, make the Corrections, etc. of such Personal Information based upon the investigation results, and notify you of such effect (or, in the case that heuristic decides not to conduct the Corrections, etc. of your Personal Information, heuristic shall also notify you of such effect.) Provided, however, this provision shall not apply if heuristic undertakes no obligation to do so pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable laws and regulations.

4.3If heuristic is claimed by you to (1) discontinue using or delete your Personal Information pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, allegedly that your Personal Information is used beyond the scope of the purpose of the use previously made public, or has been collected in a fraudulent or otherwise unauthorized means (hereinafter referred to as “the Cease of Use, etc.”), or (2) discontinue providing a third party with your Personal Information pursuant to the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, allegedly that your Personal Information is provided without your consent (hereinafter referred to as “the Cease of Provision”), and if it is found that your claim is justifiable, heuristic shall, after confirming that the request was actually made by the data subject, perform the Cease of Use, etc. or the Cease of Provision without delay, and notify you of such effect.
Provided, however, this provision shall not apply if heuristic undertakes no obligation to perform the Cease of Use, etc. or the Cease of Provision pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan or other applicable laws and regulations.

5. Use of Cookie and Advertising Identification Number for Distributing Advertisements

5.1heuristic may use cookies and/or advertisement identification numbers such as IDFA/Advertising ID (hereinafter referred to as “the Cookies, etc.”) through your terminal and/or a browser to analyze users, measure advertisement effect, and/or distribute advertisements including behavioral targeting advertisements.
In such case, the Cookies, etc. do not contain the Personal Information that can identify individuals.

6. Distribution of Advertisements

6.1Advertisements of heuristic may be displayed on various websites and applications on the Internet by advertisement distributors.

6.2Advertisement distributors may distribute advertisements to you based on your website visiting history obtained through the Cookies, etc.

7. Opt-out (Cookie)

7.1If you do not wish to use the Cookies, etc., you can opt out by the following method.
Provided, however, you would please understand that, in some cases, you may not use all or part of the functions and services provided by the Services on your browser or terminal as a result of opt-out. Please also be noted that if you delete your cookies, use a different browser or buy a new computer, you will need to renew your opt-out choice.

1. The Disabling Google Advertisement
   You can access an opt-out page and disable the use of the Cookie by Google (or you can access the opt-out page of Network Advertising Initiative and disable the use of the Cookies by third party advertisement distributors.)
2. Disabling in iOS (IDFA)
   Go to the Settings app > Scroll to the Privacy menu > Advertising menu > Move the slider for the Limit Ad Tracking to on position > Tap the Reset Advertising Identifier
3. Disabling in Android (Advertising ID)
   Tap on the Google Settings app icon > Services　> Ads > Checkmark the Opt out of interest-based ads option > Tap on the Reset advertising ID option at the top
   *After completing the out-put, although interest-based advertisements are no longer displayed, some advertisements that do not use the behavioral targeting are still appear.

8.Use of Cookie and WebStorage for Web Application Software: Google Firebase

8.1Our web application software uses cookie through Google Firebase or WebStorage on your web browser, for the purpose of making automatic identification of the account and maintaining the log-in status when the web application software runs.
